Medical Equipment

Requirements

  • Requests for equipment must be communicated in person or over the phone.
  • A current ID for client and responsible party is required for a loan. One of those two must be a LaPorte County resident.
  • Only three items require a refundable $50 CASH deposit – wheelchairs, transport chairs, and knee scooters.
  • No income restrictions or charges for most equipment.
  • The temporary loan period is 3 months. For long-term use, the client will also be added to a waiting list if a requested item becomes donated.
  • Equipment is expected to be returned in clean, working condition.
  • Cash deposit returned when the item is returned, if applicable.
